Hi.

Welcome to my blog. A place to share my thoughts, dreams and everyday passions!

GET. OVER. IT.

GET. OVER. IT.

I have a friend who I love dearly but often refers to the misused phrase "get over it" quite often in conversation.  You/he/she needs to get over it.  Sometimes getting "over it" isn't that simple.  Sometimes getting "over it" takes time, and healing, and patience, and understanding from family and friends and lots and lots of love.

Life is not always a walk in the park, it has it's uphill battles too.  As friends, as family members, as humans beings, it is so important that we validate others, that we listen deeply and carefully to what others have to say and that we do not dismiss feelings as 'insignificant' as they might appear to be.

When we open ourselves and share our deepest and most sincere feelings and experiences with others, we are inviting them into our private world, we are giving them all of who we are - our joys, our fears, our dreams and our vulnerability and we should not only appreciate that honor but be respectful of it as well.

The art of listening is one of the most precious and valuable gifts.  Sometimes all we have to do is listen and be present to the person who is placing their trust in us. It really isn't all that difficult to do and the heart heals just a little faster when we lend a listening ear without placing judgment.

Listen.  Love.  Embrace. ❤

“One of the most sincere forms of respect is actually listening to what another has to say." -Bryant H. McGill
